Da´ Tara is in Venezuela. He was a winner of the third step for the American Triple Crown, the Belmont Stakes G1 2008, where he defeated the double-crowned Big Brown and other giants of American horse racing; this G1 stakes winner with almost $750k in earnings is LOS AGUACATES Stud Farm newest stud. He has been in our facilities in Carabobo State since last Wednesday, and he will begin serving there in 2012, mating with a sizable lot of mares chosen for being of the highest quality. He was successful as a sire at Los Aguacates – Ocala, where he impregnated 6 mares destined to our Argentine division.

He is the first stud in Venezuela to have won the Belmont Stakes, and the only one with a victory of one of the Triple Crown races. A beautiful horse, he is a long-distance runner who is fast enough to take point and still has great stamina for long races. At 16,2 hands, his presence and physique are stunning, his posture is right and his expression shows great class. He will surely live up to the hype and become a great improver of Venezuelan horse racing.

A son of Tiznow out of Torchera, broodmare sire Pirate’s Bounty, he is tailor-made for Los Acuacates’ mare roster, the mares having an abundant presence of both Hoist the Flag and In Reality in their pedigrees, together with the very successful inbreeding to Seattle Slew. Tiznow, the only double winner of the Breeders Cup Classic, is the most relevant stud of the last years; his service is valued at $75k at the WinStar, and has sired so far over 35 stake winning horses, becoming the most promising stud’s sire at the moment.

Da’ Tara’s incorporation to Venezuelan horse breeding by Los Aguacates is great news. Los Aguactes, the most decorated Venezuelan horse farm in the country’s horse racing history (winner of 11 Casquillos de Oro as champion stud farm) keeps showing signs of its full confidence on the times ahead. We live by our motto: we keep betting on the future!
